COVID-19 Statement

August 8, 2019

The Fellowship Council is continuing to monitor the evolving COVID-19 situation.

The Fellowship Council is aware of the disruption that the COVID-19 outbreak has had on society, academic institutions and hospitals, and, consequently, on the 2021-2022 fellowship year Advanced GI, Advanced GI MIS, Bariatric, Flex Endo and HPB interview process. As a result, the Fellowship Council strongly advises that all future non-local fellowship interviews be conducted via alternative interview methods, which may include teleconference interviews. The Fellowship Council asks that programs make every effort to accommodate those affected and do not penalize them for their inability to physically visit your institution.

Announcement

September 21, 2018

The Fellowship Council Case Log System is a tool for Fellows to track cases and procedures.

All 2018-2019 and/or 2018-2020 matched fellows are uploaded to the case log system by the Fellowship Council using the fellow’s personal email address from the Matching Process Application.

Programs who have a fellow from outside the FC matching process (through the scramble process or hiring an outside candidate) should contact Maria in the Fellowship Council office at maria@fellowshipcouncil.org. If your current fellow is not showing in the case log system, or has incorrect information noted against their case log, please contact Maria in the Fellowship Council office at maria@fellowshipcouncil.org.

  • Fellows should begin logging cases immediately and update them on a consistent basis. The Fellowship Council Accreditation Committee utilizes case log data towards the accreditation of programs.  Prospective fellows also have access to view this data.
  • Fellows will have access to their case log data via their fellow accounts. Once the fellowship concludes fellows will no longer have the ability to edit their cases but will retain the ability to view and export the information.

If you have any technical issues, please contact the FC Web Manager Mr. Val Catalasan at val@fellowshipcouncil.org. For suggestions on additional cases, email info@fellowshipcouncil.org.
